Going to be in Houma in 2 Saturdays all day for a family event. Plan on bringing an ice chest to bring back some stuff. Any recommendations on where I should go and what I should get?

I second Bourgeois. they opened a second location real close to Hwy90 heading North across from Tractor Supply.

Is it pretty different from regular boudin? I've had blood sausage overseas and wasn't too keen on it.

I am not a fan of their Andouille and have found it overpowers nearly any dish I've put it in.

Most andouille is nothing more than smoked sausage. If you're using the real stuff, it doesn't take mush at all!
