Every time you say something is a "fireable offense for AA" (Letting Freddie walk, letting Dansby walk, trading Soroka) that move ends up happening and then you welch on what you originally said by posting your usual "trust in AA" nonsense.
Also, I don't see how letting Freddie walk ISN'T a fireable offense in a world where trading Ozzie IS one. If we traded Ozzie we would be getting a very, very good player in return.

Oh frick off. I'm sick and tired of you being a gatekeeper for every fricking post I put on this thread. You seem to get your rocks off doing it
Just frick all the way off.
Just frick all the way off.

Then stop being a bitch.
Also, pointing out your hypocrisies is not gatekeeping, but congrats on the buzzword.

Per Nightingale we are engaged with trade talks with White Sox for Cease. Would destroy clubhouse, but could see Ozzie being on the block...pretty attractive contract obviously. Vaughn a cheap replacement. Offense not our problem compared to SP. Package him and AJSS maybe to get Cease
Send them Grissom, AJSS and Anderson for Cease and call it a day. White Sox aren’t going anywhere and can afford to play Grissom at SS.

I mean yeah, that would be great. Hopefully the White Sox FO is functionally retarded enough to think that's a great deal for them.

Braves aren’t trading Ozzie. He’s a better player on one of the best contracts in baseball.

That’s not getting Cease.

He's a Boras client. Pass. Keep that fricking poison far, far, far away.

Some rando on Twitter posted this:
I get the feeling that this is going to be our reality. AA’s approach to building a pitching staff has always been fingers-crossed, bargain-bin hopes and dreams, and it’s annoying. He’s not even going to try to resign Max, and I think that will prove to be a big mistake.

It is possible that the Braves go with Fried, Strider, Morton, Elder and then a committee of guys at 5 to include, Lopez, AJSS, Waldrep, Winans, Anderson, Ynoa, Vines and others.

That doesn't really jive with the 6 year over $162m offer we supposedly gave to Nola. Not saying you're wrong, because I agree that we won't, its just weird that those two things coexist in the same reality.
Nola is 30, Fried is 29, so age is basically the same in terms of when you're giving them the deal. Do we have some internals that suggest Max will fall off earlier in this career? Was us being in the Nola sweepstakes just fake news entirely? IDK.

Sad, but true. Nothing in his past acquisitions points to him going out and getting a star. He hasn’t been able to get Nola/Gray for whatever reason. I guess we will see, but I am not optimistic.

AA said just last year in an interview that Max will be a pitcher who ages extremely well.

Thats right. Then yeah, I really don't know whats going on there. Maybe a simple explanation is that Max wants as much money as possible and knows he won't get it in Atlanta.

With Max’s blister issues, he may be pining for a more temperate climate. That’s what I’m telling myself, anyway.

I just can't imagine AA would think that, or at the very least, I just can't imagine the fans would let him get away with thinking that.
I mean, Fried and Strider are as good of a 1-2 punch as anyone in the league and Morton isn't a terrible 3 although he is getting up there in age, but for any of that to work in the postseason you need them to be healthy and there is just no way you can bank on that considering injuries have fricked that plan up the last 2 postseasons.
Basically, if that's the plan then it's a good way of making sure Bryce Elder starts another postseason game and that should be the opposite of what a team in our present state should be trying to achieve.

i think Fried is looking at 8/240 or so if he has a healthy year. Not sure we will commit to that. If he was available for 6/162 we would sign him tomorrow.

We are "Among the finalists" in Cease trade talks, which have intensified over the past 48 hours, per Morosi.

Braves just signed Penn Murfee and Jackson Stephens.

AA is stressed out. Had to hit the useless signings pipe.
