Fun. - we are young
Gotye - somebody that I used to know
Lorde - Royals
Hozier - Take me to church

Maybe aside from Gotye you could say they are not one hit wonders, but which artist did you think would have been a lot bigger than they actually were?

fun. had several big songs on that album that charted high

Lorde is only 26, she'll have more huge hits in the future

They didn't fade out, it wasn't the main project for Antonoff, who besides starting Bleachers, is an a-list producer/songwriter for the likes of Taylor Swift among others

Immediately came to kind and also is still a banger

I listen to it often and it reminds me Of that specific time in life

Guy dropped one smash and disappeared from the spotlight

both of these artists still have 20+ million monthly listeners on spotify.

Sure, take me to church has 2 billion plus plays, but Hozier has several songs with 300 million plays and has an album this year with a song that is north of 100 million+ plays.

And married Andie McDowell's daughter.

He also started a small music fest that, of I am not mistaken, happens at the stone pony

He also had a long term relationship with Lena Dunham

I take no pity on him

And has had at least one hit since Royals.

I do think Lorde has entered that "critically acclaimed and successful but not smash hit popular" zone of pop music, similar to artists like Carly Rae Jepsen.

Great album with at least three hit singles on it. They never followed up because the band ended.

Fun was awesome.

The previous iteration, The Format, with the lead singer Nate Ruess, was even better.

This is a fantastic song that every musician seems to have done a cover of. I like The Struts version of it and this one especially.
