“Let’s Go Brandon!” Is Mississippi about to pull a Louisiana

Did anyone else see the new ad for Brandon Presley the democrat in the Ms governor race. It had 4 RINOs saying they support Presley and not Tater. Then they finish by saying Let’s Go Brandon!
I haven’t paid much attention to the Ms governor’s race. Is this a desperation move by Presley, or are republicans in Mississippi really stupid enough to pull a Louisiana and vote for a democrat over an unpopular republican?
ETA: Here is the ad. Let's Go Brandon!

Questionable to try using “Let’s Go Brandon” as an actual campaign slogan.

Mississippi has had one of the lowest education systems in the US for a long time. But keep voting for Democrats. One day they "MIGHT" care. I think he is trying to take advantage of the saying. It won't work.

Democrats want it all to burn for some reason

Well, they are not that bright there.

Only in Mississippi can the two leading candidates be named Brandon Presley and Tator.
My all time fave is Menelaus O’Daniel.

There is a fellow running for SOS here in La who uses the “Let’s go Brandon” slogan! Trosclair is his name!

I think the new strategy going forward will be to get "moderate" blue governors in traditional red states. There is a huge swath of independents and soft Republicans who would walk over broken glass to pull the lever for someone they deem a "free thinker" Democrat, but really is just a Biden clone in disguise.

There is absolutely no chance that Presley wins the governors mansion. No chance.

I hope so but I never underestimate human stupidity.

Not in MS. There are a few pockets of card toting left wing democrats but plenty of old folks and people out in the country who are conservative but will either vote or consider voting democrat. A lot of normal hard working people running for office in rural areas who will run as a democrat when they are significantly right of center. And I agree it’s very dangerous in this race. Reeves has shown he’ll go against Washington on lockdowns etc. but the democrat will follow lock step with whatever directive comes from DC.

I don't care if Tater is polling at 30%, he'll be fine for reelection.

The state won't vote a Democrat governor.

Too bad Pappy can’t run on that reform thing.

They are very conservative on social issues and support some conservative economic policies like low taxes but support a lot of government intervention in the economy. JBE got a large enough percentage of this vote to win both of his elections.
