RE: CUZ413
I want to challenge your statements. There were never CRT/AAAS mandates on the table for kids attending LSU. Faculty members apart of the Faculty Senate proposed that based on the demographics of the campus (nearly 14% black), and the state of Louisiana as a whole (nearly 35% black), it should be considered. As we saw with the many initiatives made by companies nationwide, those in academia felt the need to offer similar ideas. Discussions, meeting topics, orchestrating a plan of implementation, etc. shouldn't be viewed as mandates.
Also, LSU's address and surrounding areas have been the same for as long as I can remember. Crime is an unfortunate reality of existence. I hope that the institution of choice for your kids is as close to perfect as the idea of a crimeless society.
And as always, when CRT comes up, I ask the author of the comment to explain to everyone what CRT is. And how it impacts learning, since it's viewed as this harsh brainwash grab.

I never said there was.

Again, reread, I never said there were mandates for CRT/AAAS

CRT is a belief system based on an implied power structure where upon power is derived from systemic racism which was created and maintained by white people in order to preserve a social structure (hegemony) that provides a multitude of unjust advantages over people of color, esp blacks.
You can read more from Robin DeAngelo, Jean Stefanik, Angela Davis, Richard Delgado, and Herbert Marcuse to learn about it
I said vaccine mandates and that was the ultimate show stopper for my kids to attend.

So this makes it OK?
Ruston is very low on crime, esp murder.

For me it’s saying that if you are white, any individual advantage you have is because of systemic racism and because you benefit from it, you are guilty of racism by association.
I believe there are some places in this country where that is taught. Not saying this is one of them.
