Why do people hate Blake Money?

People don't hate Blake Money, but he has a lot of work to do before he pitches at the next level

Would love to have Money on the staff as a GA if pro ball doesn't work out.

Yeah thats my point. I think Brown really wants to pitch for LSU next year. But the door isnt completely closed on the draft for him yet. I dont think this is a controversial statement based on past history.

That is completely different than the post he responded to saying Money would not be welcomed back if not drafted.
To that poster, Money and Little would both be welcomed back if not drafted. However I think we see them both get taken today.

That opinion is based on if you think he would take 1.5M to go pro. That is likely the highest you see someone get. Last year only 3 picks were paid over 1M rounds 11-20.
I don't think he will take it even if offered. I wouldn't be surprised if he did decide to cut off contact with teams at this point.

I don't think anyone hates anyone, but he had a fall from grace for sure.
Close to 6 ERA and gets thrown to the wolves against Florida. Gives up a lot of homers.

That may very well be true. Not sure what his number is at this point.

JT had his problems, but there is a very good chance that nobody would beat him out at SS next year. He's not perfect, but if he's your best option...you gladly take him back

Zero homers against SEC opponents this year.

Blake Money is the perfect bullpen guy to get you 4-5 maybe 6 outs against good teams. He throws strikes and is a vet. It's when you give him the long leash he starts to lose it.

6 homers in 34 innings. He did go 8-ish innings against SEC teams with no homers, which means he was giving them up to inferior competition.
Longest SEC outing was 5 outs

Sooooo, zero homers against SEC opponents.

and 6 against non-sec opponents. I'm not sure what your point is. He gives up a lot of hits, he just happened to not give up homers against SEC schools on Sundays

"Crews settles..." His agent is Scott Boras. He seldom if ever "settles"; just the opposite, many of his clients don't sign till the very last moment & never for less money.

I'm not shitting on Money at all, only being realistic. If all signees, transfers, undrafted players to this point and yet to be named transfers make it to campus in the fall we would have close to 30 pitchers on the roster. There are only so many innings in the spring, would we be better getting the redshirt freshman, true freshman innings instead of Money based on the types of situations and innings that he was entrusted with last season?
We can wait until the end of fall to let the chips fall where they may, but he seems like a good candidate to transfer and start somewhere else.
