There Seems To Be An Uptick With People Throwing Stuff At Artists

Obviously this isn’t entirely new as stupid people have always done this and of course there was the infamous Dimebag Darrel murder, but lately more and more people are throwing shite especially phones at artists. I actually saw this first hand at Bonnaroo, Paramore was performing and I saw what was either a bottle cap or something else being launched towards the lead singer Hayley Williams.
Also apparently there’s some dumb TikTok trend that might explain the phone thing since apparently people think the artist will for some reason take a selfie and give it back to them.

I was at a concert way back in high school, early 90s. I think the band was Live. Somebody threw a glass bottle and it hit the drummer right in the head. He got up and refused to come back. Show was over

Saw Motley Crue at the Centroplex on the Dr Feelgood tour. Somebody threw a drink or something and hit Mick Mars during his guitar solo. He threw his guitar and walked off stage. I think they came back and played one more song. shite has been going on forever. Just more dumbasses now
