The Lusitania sinking getting us into WWI. The Germans took out ads in US newspapers telling people not to ride the ship because it contained weapons and they were gonna sink it.
US govt said Germans were lying. They sunk it. Lots of people died. Recently, British manifests of the voyage proved that the Germans were right. It was full of bombs sent to the Brits.
