I have never been a huge Skynyrd fan, enjoy their stuff just not in my top ten but I am still ashamed to say until breezing through that video I never noticed Allen Collins played a Les Paul Explorer.

The Knebworth performance is better, IMO, not only in musical quality, but for the sheer balls it took for Ronnie to push the band out on the Stones' "tongue" when it was explicitly forbidden.
Freebird is always a good fricking song regardless, though.

Very few, if any, bands can say they blew the Stones off the stage. Lynyrd Skynyrd can.

What’s the deal with the girl in glasses in the front row. She looks like she doesn’t want to be there.

She was there for Peter Frampton.

Seems like this was the most popular dance move at the time. At that concert, anyway

Same here. But, here’s a better version of one of “their” more popular songs

Johhny Cash, John Mayer, and Clapton have all covered Call Me the Breeze. LS also shares another cover with Clapton (Yardbirds) in Howlin' Wolf's Smokestack Lightning but there have been a shitload of covers of that song. I like the Soundgarden cover but Cornell's voice is unmatched by any of the other attempts.

My favorite band even thought this was a couple years before I was born.

One of the few live concert videos that I watch and say each and every time “damn I would have loved to have been there for that”.

I get the feeling that Clapton was always a dork at heart and probably never partied very hard.
