the safest place will be right in the middle of that big arse pond

I drive past this daily. There’s legitimately no population in the area that could support this project. I have no idea what the developer is thinking but I wish him well. Any positive news for New Orleans east is good, but I really question this.

Is there a local population to support something like that?
There's a local population there that will destroy it, support...not so much.

#1 ride will be entering the park where you get to experience what it was like to storm the beaches of Normandy

Whoever is about to invest in this never heard the three rules of real estate:

And in addition to all the other obvious issues with this area, it will flood again. It wouldn’t take much of a hurricane coming at the wrong angle and that area will be under 5 feet of water

Only way this is successful is if the travel team kids/families can access the amenities for a small fee, but anyone who wants to go and spend the day there (the locals), have to pay like $50 a head to enter.

The fact this will never, ever be built is obvious. But the additional fact that this drawing was rendered and even pushed to local media is outright hilarity.

They should just turn it into a massive prison and throw the trash in there like El Salvador is doing.
Yep. El Salvador locked up all the people with tattoos and crime went down 100% overnight

Nobody actually expects this to happen right?
