Keep doing what we're doing and get some lottery luck.

Convince a team to take this fat frick off our hands for a bunch of picks

Miller would be huge because if he lives up to his potential he lets you replace BI with a rookie scale contract.
To me it all depends on what they think is going to happen with Zion. If he's going to be ready to play I think you have to aim for the playoffs and take a shot in a year that the West is more wide open than it has ever been. If he's not going to be ready, Griff should tell Willie to forget some of the stuff he learned the past few games and go back to driving the tank.

JMO...Miller will be a better defensive player...a better rebounder...a better 3-pt shooter (% AND frequency)...and bottom line, just a better player than BI. Somebody make this happen !!

The perfect person to shoot back at JA Morant. I’m in .

If he can stay out of jail, maybe.

Don’t think Willie is going to forget how to play the worst teams in the league, but we only have one of those left on the schedule.
We have 3-5 wins left in us regardless of what Willie does.

Now a college player is better?! Next it’ll be a middle school stud in your hometown. Say what you want about Pels record for sure but BI is at 27 Ppg, 5.2 Ast, 51 FG%, 40.3 3PFG% since his return from Feb. So replace that from a production standpoint when very few in the NBA, currently, is actually producing at this level instead of a fantasy.

This board was better before you started posting here

Just my opinion...I COULD be wrong. BTW, I probably should have been more specific on "will be"...didn't mean it to mean on day one.
And btw: I also think another young player (Wemby) will be better than BI...but I COULD be wrong on him too. But it wouldn't surprise me if he's better than BI...FROM DAY ONE.
Guess what would happen if we tried to trade BI straight up for Wemby. Hint: we would be ignored. Having said that: I will admit BI is a solid offensive player.

Yeah, I got an intern in my accounting department who’s great at spreadsheets, should swap him for the CFO pronto! Better yet, we think his hair will gray slightly at the temples when he hits his mid 30s.

OK...that kinda went right over my head. But I do have a coupla fairly simple questions. In your opinion...do you think Wemby will be a better NBA player than BI and would you trade Wemby for BI...straight up...if you had draft rights to Wemby?

If I was Griffen I would have a trade in place with the last three teams that have a chance for pick one two or three. I would trade Zion for that pick with the chance of Victor, Scooter, or Miller. If it was the second pick i would select Miller. Just think if the Lakers and Pels do not make the playoffs. With luck maybe the Pels get the Zion pick, and another top pick. I would make the trade just for the opportunity to get in the top three.

Production v Potential ... I get why your confused from your previous posts, but the Wemby deal is a good question.
Right now, since Wemby has not played a single NBA game and BI has with documented production I'd say no he won't be better. With his (Wemby's) observable height/wingspan/skill-set I'd wager he has a 25-35% chance of eventually being better. You have a slope on BI and arguably he has not plateaued.
In regards to an unproven NBA player, which Wemby is, immediately paying the highest dividend. There is scant history in fulfilling this. There may be others, but off the top of my head, the only rookie I can recall that was, even arguably, the best player on his team that came in and led his team to a championship was Magic Johnson (who also had Kareem), so we are now talking future value.
So, Wemby future value at BI present value. I'd still say no, I might be more inclined if BI was in his prime (28-32) and the team wasn't winning. I am a big beliver in team, and don't look for any one savior. Two stars, with solid role players, seem to be the sweet spot. Although a smaller sample size, I saw what a team led by Zion and BI looked like and would rate them above Tatum-Brown, Jokic-Murray, and slightly below Giannis-Middleton (healthy), and Steph-Klay. So that's MY bet.
Lot of folks want to bail and rebuild (which a Wemby-BI swap would entail) due to the disappointments (injuries) from the past two years. I'm sure the Warriors are ecstatic that they didn't make the trade of Steph when they had the opportunity for a top pick and instead got his ankles fixed. Go back if you can and look at the tape from the 20' season against Boston (both games), that in my mind are BI and Zion's signature wins, and then ask yourself would I trade that if your talking potential.

Brandon’s offense is better than Herbs defense(and harder to replace)…just for some perspective. So “solid” is a bit of an undersell here.
And this has been a down year for him.
As far as Wemby, if this fanbase thinks Zion and Ingram are injury prone, wait until a 7’4 beanpole enters the NBA.
I wish nothing but success for the kid, but odds are he won’t stay on the court for long. Hope I’m wrong.

You aren’t the only one
And honestly, Miller has moved ahead of Scoot on some draft boards.
Dude is a Paul George clone playstyle wise. Scoot could be great or he could just be the next Dennis Smith Jr.
Miller is the safer pick in today’s nba imo. Unless you really think Scoot is like prime Westbrook or Morant athletically so the ragged shooting doesn’t really matter.

Never seen a fan base trash their stars as much as pelicans fans.
