How To Fix Terrible Posture?

I have terrible posture. Especially while sitting at my desk. Whenever I notice it and think about it, I sit up straight, not hunched over, etc. As soon as I stop thinking about it, back to shoulders in, slouched, etc. I'll think about it again 15 mins later, an hour later, whenever, correct myself and keep repeating.
How do I get in the habit of sitting with shoulders back, back straight, etc where its something I don't have to think about? I notice the older I get, the more aches and pains and I believe a lot of it is contributable to my bad posture.

I’ve seen something advertised that you wear under your shirt. It is supposed to force your shoulders and back into a better position and not really allow slouching. Not sure if it works, though.

These guys are goofy, but I've picked up some good tips and stuff from them. The best is the Epley Maneuver for vertigo.

Stretch your pecs. That helps a great deal. Tight pecs pull you forward into a hunch.
Core exercises.

Just try to imagine you're sitting on your boyfriends lap

A stand up desk was a game changer for me. I sit about one hour per day while at the office.

A friend told me once to imagine lasers shooting out of your nipples. Standing up straight will make the lasers shoot straight.

Upright go. I used it for a couple of weeks then got bored with it. Been doing yoga for about 20-40 minutes a day for the past month and the results have been a lot better.

It's unfortunately almost like a full time job to try correcting it after many years of it. Your best bet is to just try to minimize it from getting worse.

Lay flat on your back each morning and evening. Do core and upper body exercises. Walk with intention-be mindful of your posture.

Ergonomic kneeling chair for scoliosis forces you to have good posture.

Going through this now. Not one singular fix.
A. Desk set up:
1. Face straight vs. sitting crooked
2. Monitor should be arms length
3. Sit up straight in chair (use lumbar support pad) Some choices.
4. Hands should be 90 degree angle to key board
I just bought an adjustable desk from Wayfair. Standing up takes pressure off your spine.
B. Good Chair:
You sit in the thing for hours. It's worth the money to get a good one that adjusts, has lumbar support etc. I have friends that have bought the Herman Miller Classic Aeron Chair and swear by it. Yeah, it's very expensive. But so is going to the doctor, pain meds etc. You're worth it!
Some Choices
C. Physical Fitness:
1. Lose weight if needed.
2. Develop core strength (Abs and back)
(Don't Laugh. These guys are swarmy but very informative PTs!)
3. Stretching. Try Yoga. Yeah, I know.
D. Drugs:
1. Talk to your doctor about Celebrex. A safe and effective Anti-Inflammatory. Works wonders if needed.

Get a desk that allows you to work standing up. The.human body wasn’t designed to sit for hours.
