They had those "dividers" long before the belts were controlled by laser sensors. Besides, the one in your OP isn't a divider made for this belt. Dividers made for grocery check-out belts aren't open on each end to allow the laser to shine through. They are also usually covered with adverts. What you have in your photo is a hollow piece of square tubing.

Get your act together and then come back and post it correctly.
