I could not care less about ratings. I’ve never watched a LIV event. I’m of the opinion that the LIV will die off when the major guys fulfill their contracts and come back to the PGA with their vaults full of cash. People aren’t watching LIV for one main reason, because it is too hard to find and probably sucks when you do find it. The PGA needs the LIV guys and the LIV guys need the PGA. I just want to see all the best players battling each other again on a weekly basis. The golf talent is the best it’s been overall for the last 30+ years.

And that’s the PGAs fault, eh?

How Much do you earn? We’d like to determine if you’re sharing enough with others.

It has apparently gone unnoticed over here that 3 more PGA golfers have defected to LIV in the last couple of days. That's 6 more PGA golfers in the last few weeks who want to be a part of the international tour.

And that's just it. The PGA is pure red, white, and blue. It's all Americana and always will be. The real estate these guys will be playing on is around the world, and whether everyone likes it or not, it's still pulling guys to be a part of something new. Obituaries from the rant notwithstanding.

They poached players that can’t win. Young better players will replace them. Who cares. I don’t blame a guy for wanting to get paid but let’s not pretend it’s anything but that. A payday with no incentive really for the top LIV players to be at their best. They obviously showed beating the best players isn’t their motive so what’s left. And no matter your feelings on the Saudis, you are now working directly for that government which is a big difference from the PGA who has donated more te to charity than all four US major sports combined. Yes I know they don’t pay their players as much as they maybe could but quite honestly I don’t give a shite. They’re doing ok playing a game. I bet many on this board would trade places with anyone in the top 100 on the PGA tour.

Hell boys, you just described most of the PGA players. This is the lowest the PGA has been in a long time with brand names. That's why they are desperate to get these "NEW" big payday tourneys going. They are demanding these brand-name players show up and play more often together.

But make no mistake, money is the only thing the PGA has now that will stop the bleeding. And now they are playing the LIV game. Advantage LIV.

Cam smith is the only one that hurts leaving.

Pretty sure he’ll play a couple more years then spend rest of his life fishing so can’t blame him

I was referring to your post on the most recent players. I’m simply saying those players probably left because they know the chances of beating the top players and younger talent like Mito and Theegala are slim. Hell based on that documentary it’s why Brooks Koepka left. He outright said he couldn’t compete. Are those the kind of players you want on the PGA tour? I don’t. I don’t care that LIV exists and I have zero interest in watching. Phil turned out to be a complete a-hole and Greg Norman always has been. My guess is Cam Smith left because of Norman. He’s really the only player I’d like to still watch on the PGA tour. He’s young so could happen at some point.

Just another half-azz guess on your part. Now, for a touch of reality.

Phil stated over a year ago now that the PGA had the players by the short hairs. He clearly stated that the only thing that was going to change the PGA and professional golf on the plantation was COMPETITION.

Competition would create the leverage to get Jay Monahan off his billion-dollar wallet. Did it?

Last season Homa won the Genesis and made 1.6 million for his troubles. This season the winner will take home 3.6 million of a 20 million dollar purse. In one-year, prize money on the PGA more than doubled because of competition. LIV, made them do it.

Phil Michelson was a prophet or he was just a good businessman who knew that pro golfers were getting robbed by the good old country club boys.

Neither, he was having serious cash flow problems.

Brendan Steele and Danny Lee join LIV.

That really moves the needle for LIV.

Dahmen lives that way because he wants to, not because he can’t afford better. He’s won 10 million on tour. He’s not poor. And that 10 million is only since he’s earned his card in 2016-2017 and doesn’t include all the money he gets from sponsors. Dahmen is also a member of a run of the mill CC is Mesa, AZ because that’s his personality.

And his caddie is living where he is while he’s building a home. He jokes about it all the time.

I wonder what it would look like if some of them want to come back. Will they be suspended for a while? Will they have to qualify at Q school and Korn Ferry tour?

This is a great question. On one hand it would look really good for the PGAT for someone to return. On the other hand, I could see them being banned forever.

It probably accelerated it a little to get the $$ flowing but new TV contract is the source of the money.
