Homosexuals are born that way. I would know that since I'm one.
The best possible proof for that is this: Why would people in places like Saudi Arabia decide to be gay if they weren't born that way? Condemning yourself to a life of suffering and fear just for the hell of it?

I remember the time when I chose to be straight. It was the funny feeling I got when I saw Barbara Eden in I Dream of Jeannie.
I just knew!
I never understood the idea that people CHOOSE to be this or that. But that's just me.

Do you think people who are compulsive gamblers are predisposed to a gambling addiction. How about alcoholics? The criminally insane? Once we agree such behavior is established at birth or is due to some genetic predisposition we have a real conundrum on our hands.

This is a relatively compelling argument. A lesbian friend of mine once told me, "I'm from Deridder. Why would I choose to be gay? I tried being with men and it didn't work."
I also have a cousin to whom it should have been as obvious as a third ear was a lesbian when she was 12 years old. She got married, had two kids and an existential crisis before coming out.
So, I get it.
