I have something close to that.

Goes USB-C into my laptop. I have two HDMIs running from it to my two monitors. Took me a moment to get my settings setup properly. But now no issues.

if windows, check device manager to see if you have all the proper drivers for the device. ! is bad in device manager, means hardware is not working properly.
