When the men’s basketball team is so bad I know more about this asinine nonsense than who we even play tomorrow. And when. And where.

I haven’t kept up with this but what’s the reason for changing it?

Seems like everyone BUT actual LSU fans (or 99.999999% of them) cares about this. The uproar over this is so dumb and such a do about nothing. Who freaking cares.

Agreed. It’s the name of the court for God’s sake, not even the assembly center. This is like being upset at naming one of the backboards after Shaq.

I just mean, the people getting upset over this are upset to SUCH a level that I ask if they were gay lovers of dale brown. Not that there would be anything wrong with that, but no one but a lover should be getting THIS upset over a mediocre coach not having SOLE court naming possession….again, so dumb

Keeping around old coaches and acting like you owe them something is stupid. It was dumb when we did it for Skip, and he actually earned it. It's especially stupid for Dale Brown. You're gone. Go away. Spend time with your family.

Eventually people will realize you’ll never satisfy the woke crowd. And trying to will only alienate the great majority. At least I hope folks will see it.

In the meantime get used to bullshite like this. Disney is starting to see the consequences of it.

If Brady had been allowed to coach 25 years as opposed to 11 he would have been just as accomplished

Growing up (1980’s) we followed basketball as much as football. Dale did build an exciting program. I remember when Randy Livingston and Ronnie Henderson class was signed I thought the good times were back. It was disappointing at the end. It was almost as if he he thought he was above judgement.

The issue for me is not the addition of Gunters’ name in and of itself. There is merit in doing so. It’s that it was done solely to appease ONE virtue signaler. Which is akin to appeasing a spoiled child and will give precedent to the next virtue signaler to get what they want. This is not the end…only the beginning.

He’s acting like they stripped His name from The court.

He’s just sharing it.

If anything he got a ceremony that he didn’t have to share with a ghost.

The day Livingston blew his knee out was the day the music died for LSU. When he returned in early 1995 he was one of the best players in th eSEC and the Tigers were unbeaten , then his second knee injury occurred and the program never recovered. Randy was like Superman. He would just take over games in the last five minutes.

Doesn’t matter what they name it now. It will one day be named Kramer Robertsons mom's court.

As I read and think about this particular story ... Sell all of it. Don't name anything for nothing. Sell the name to every last field, arena, stadium, parking lot, picnic bench, etc, to the highest bidder. Frick it.
