I have such mixed thoughts about Daddy Dale. LSU basketball was fun for a decade. It's when I was young and impressionable and was a time when LSU basketball was the best game in town.

That imprint on LSU Basketball - and me - is now tarnished by his ego as he aged.

I'm still happy he called the NCAA Gestapo Bastards.

Really? I always thought him comparing the NCAA to a group that committed the atrocities that the Gestapo did under the Nazi regime to be irresponsible and insulting to those whose lives were taken by that heinous regime.

He absolutely could have chosen dozens of more appropriate analogies, but Dale IMHO was as much about theater and vindictiveness as he was about philanthropy.

It’s really amazing how much fun all those years were without any ncaa tournament big success. Chris Jackson was the biggest star for me and my friends. You young bucks should YouTube some highlights of him.

Yet no one says anything bad about Will Wade's ego with how he basically dared the NCAA to come at him.
