Cardinals package is the best shot at getting Caleb Williams IMO

Let them keep #3. Give us that high 2nd that is 1 slot better this year because Miami lost their 1st this year for tampering so there’s only 31 picks in the 1st round this year.
Give us 2024 1st. That gives us 3 shots at Caleb Williams, either we suck again and DA gets fired a few games in causing us to blow it up and tank or Cardinals suck with Kyler being hurt. I’m sure he’ll be back at some point but it probably take a while for him to adjust.
So that’s 2 shots at getting #1 overall but the 3rd shots is possibly having 2 top 5/10 picks to package to move up.
I say all this to say the SP is going to the Chargers.

I don’t want a quarterback that paints his finger nails.

Caleb Williamsv
You’ll get 6”5” 270 small school DE with 7 career sacks and you’ll like it!

That dude would not last 1 year in New Orleans. He'd probably pull an Eli Manning in the draft if he knew Saints were coming to draft him.
Sorry but it's the truth. Doesn't matter what his talent is if he's not happy and a culture fit he's just going to end up on another team's roster demanding a trade. Not only is he not a culture fit personality wise, he wants to be in big markets which is why he transferred to USC.
If you got Caleb Williams you'd have a QB rental at best for Saints.

We’ve got too much talent and veterans on the team to get the #1 pick. We’ll always end up doing the Saint thing and picking in the teens.

He played at Oklahoma. Lol wtf are you babbling about?

And went straight to a big market with Riley because that's what he wanted. Oklahoma isn't a small program either they have a pretty big market in that region and nationally. They're a storied program. He has been on record to saying he prefers bigger markets because it expands his brand. He can make more money. He's not stupid. You think he wants to come to small market New Orleans and be exposed to weekly car theft in a shite hole city?
You'll probably never see another QB like Brees in your lifetime. Not only was he top tier but he was loyal which is something that's just not going to happen. New Orleans needs the right fit and it's very hard to do to find someone to love playing there. It's not a coincidence the franchise was shite for like 40 years before Payton went to it.

Dont want or need Caleb Williams! Jameis 2.0

The only guys I’ve known to do that was guys that had fathers in the NFL before and probably lived a sheltered life. Caleb Williams is from the DMV area. He doesn’t care where he plays football. He followed a damn good QB coach who he fell in love with. Hell if it wasn’t for Lincoln Riley Caleb would have came to LSU

They said the same about zion and Reggie Bush

Thisnis dumb when the biggest young names in Football are playing in Cincinnati and Minnesota.
The NFL is a national market for the elite players.

This isn’t the 1980’s, players can be marketed from anywhere in the country. Patrick Mahomes is in Kanas City and we see him on the television on a regular basis. Caleb Williams will get endorsements as a 1st round pick. If he wins on the field, those endorsements will multiply 10 fold. Had Michael Jordan been in a smaller market during his career, with the same accomplishment, he’s still be MJ. Hell, Lebron went to Cleveland and was the face of the NBA while with bad teams.

You don’t think 3 firsts aren’t enough to move up to #1??? If we get cards 23 first we need to trade back and pick up a 24 first from another team. Have that pick, cards 24 first and Our own 24 first…
