I’m just glad to see that some people give more than two shits for a Human than they do dogs.

I think it’s because people literally watched the guy go into cardiac arrest on television.
And it’s also just people trying to out outrage each other and attention whore themselves on social media.

What’s the term for the opposite of virtue signaling?

I see where you are going but yeah, I hope the kid makes it. I prefer to be human and realize he is National news because it happened on national tv. You obviously learn more about him and he seems like a decent person. Others exploiting his incident isn’t what he asked for.

Nah. I care about the young man. He had a family, a life ahead of him, a career most of us only dream of, etc.
That said, I saw a dead guy a week ago who definitely did not have the overwhelming outpouring of sympathy. Went to a separate funeral for a woman who was a Saint and deserved to live forever. Know a friend who lost a child in a tragic way.
Many people care only because they want to appear to care. Social media has made so, so many people into worthless shitbags.

frick that dude. Vince McMahon went on with the show.

Nobody gave a single flying frick about the 27 people shot and 7 dead in Chicago over the new years weekend.

So edgy. People care because this dude seems like a decent man and has a spotlight on him. Sorry nobody cared so much about your mee maw and pee paw when they passed. It’ll get better, Nancy.

How many people have had a cardiac event since the game? How many people have been put on life support since the game?

Authenticity?
He’s still virtue signaling.

these situations always seem to snowball into some contest or “me too” event where people just want to be part of the scene and it all becomes very contrived.
Which somewhat ironically is exactly what this thread is.

Anyone else not give a single shite about Damar Hamlin?
I give the tiniest one. He isn’t on the Saints, in their division, or in their conference

When did he die?
I would say for a short while before they resuscitated him but I meant to type nearly died.
