I don't get the need to state you don't care. Good for you?

I don't fault Hamlin. He didn't ask for this, or his family. But if good can come from this (praying, donating, becoming more aware of potential shot clot issues, etc.), then I don't see any bad in this.
If it helps to bring people together, even if only temporarily, I am for it.
well said as always...

What if it was a asian lady giving Deshuan Watson chest compressions on the field?

The outpouring is over the top.
It seems to always end up that way, doesn’t it? Don’t get me wrong, I think the initial sympathy and compassion is very nice and completely genuine. But these situations always seem to snowball into some contest or “me too” event where people just want to be part of the scene and it all becomes very contrived.

No. He's successful, well liked, and well respected.

Am I gonna lose sleep over it? Not a lick..
But damn, kid is 24, doing good in the community and had a tragic accident and flatlined in front of America.
Just hoping he makes a full recovery.

What we saw collectively Monday night had never been seen on a football field before. I understand if many people were shocked and saddened as I was. But I understand if you weren't. But it's unfair to group a the people who care about this young man and the sport we love into "Virtue signaling".
What I have seen that is amazing is an outpouring of prayers for the young man. Sure some people are virtue signaling. But as a Christian, it has been amazing to see so many people who normally wouldnt pray take a moment and pray for the well being of Hamlin.
You do you, but try not to judge others for being affected by this.

wasn't just ESPN. Monday Night, Tigerdroppings turned into the Virtue Signaling Olympics with posters trying to one-up each other with their displays of "concern" and "shock". If you didn't immediately don black garb and paint "Slava Hamlin!" on your face you were literally Hitler.

He’s literally doing the same thing as the people he’s complaining about.
He’s asking for attention by saying he doesn’t care. Just like he thinks everyone is doing by caring too much.

What a shitty human being you are.
Posted on 1/4/23 at 7:37 pm to Thundercles
Yea....this whole compassion for others is really getting old.

I give about 80% of one shite, which is solid.

THANK YOU…….I’m so fricking tired of hearing about it.

Why are people obsessed with being seen giving support to something they have no connection to or stake in.
Why wouldn’t I have compassion for a young man in his early 20’s that almost died in front of the world living his dream? I understand that the media has done what they always do but at the end of the day he’s an actual human being with family and friends.

I cared about him improving as much as I think someone can genuinely care about someone they’ve never met or heard of, which was not that much
Not everyone feels things in a similar way.
