I think most of the increase is due to refineries. Oilprice.com article
Nothing to do with oil but this statement is not accurate. He was in Mar-a-Lago a lot.

Very significant factor. I posted an article by javy blas of Bloomberg that laid it out in detail, but during this tight refinery time gas prices fell significantly, mostly due to crude infusions from spr and growing worldwide production.
