Terrestrial radio is dead pretty much everywhere, but it hangs on here in Louisiana bc we’re 5-10 years behind the rest of the country.
Advertisers will become more savvy and understand how to better targets their ad dollars - and most content will move to digital soon. It’s inevitable.
I’ve lived/worked in a lot places around the country and Baton Rouge puts out more local sports content than anywhere else. You can gripe about the personalities, but that kind of work is a grind and we’re fortunate to have the Hanni’s/Masconas/Hesters/Tbobs/Jordy’s /etc that are passionate enough about it to do the work.
