I know it sounds stupid, but I would not be able to sit by and watch my little buddy get hurt or killed.

It's ridiculous when you think about it, but sitting by doing nothing is not in my nature.

Absolutely. I’m reading Stephen King’s Enchantment and that’s basically the premise.

Depends on the level of “risk”. Yes for a reasonable risk, probably not for a suicidal risk.

I wouldn't risk my life. I would put myself in a certain level of danger or harm to save my dog.

Once it crosses the line of life threatening:
Sorry little buddy, you had a good run, all dogs go to heaven.

100%. I spend more time with my dog than my kid or wife (dog goes to work with me every day).

I tell people when we hunt and my dog is there "if you shoot me, I will be pissed. If you shoot my dog, I will shoot you."

Dog would do anything for me, least I can do is return the favor.

That's tough to answer. I'd assume the regret and depression that would arise from thinking back knowing you did nothing would be unbearable for decades if you didn't at least try.

Depends on what the situation is and how much my life is at risk.

Go after an alligator with a frying pan like that guy in the viral video. Probably give it a shot.

A bear or a pack of wolves. Probably not.
