Strengths: Athletic, plus arm, accurate
Weaknesses: he’s 5’9” & about 180 lbs

Lol i don’t think he’s 5’9” either but i doubt he’s anywhere close to 200 lbs. He looks like an 8th grader in his pads on the sideline.

He def needed his RS year, let’s see who wins the comp in spring. May the best man win

JH has a strong and accurate arm
very smart, flawlessly ran a sophisticated offense in HS
great poise and awareness, very calm on the field
great leader, team first guy
excellent runner, but runs when he has to

So he’s the perfect quarterback? Interesting.

stronger arm than Nuss

I'm not advocating for either, but Nuss' arm talent isn't all about strength; it's the quickness of his delivery. That is a rare, and useful, talent.

He is not getting the most out of that talent, right now, because he stares down receivers. When a QB stares at his target the DBs begin moving that way. Effective QBs move the defense with their eyes, then pivot to where they're not.

The MOST effective QBs then deliver the ball quickly, so the defense can't react fast enough. But QBs rarely have the quick delivery that Nuss has. That's natural, not learned. If he learns read the defense, then to move the defense, he will then exploit his quick delivery.

Well he’s a Daniels leaving and Nussmeier mistake away from being the best QB on the roster so might want to get to know him.

He's the best QB on the team. Maybe not the most ready to play right now but highest ceiling, most talent, etc. Has leadership ability and a great attitude. His parents did a great job, they are/were good people.

change of position to WR for Daniels.
why do people think you can just plug a guy on at WR that has played QB for the last 15 years? Just because he's fast?

Can he catch a football?

For those in the know, have seen him play, what are his strenghts, weakness , etc

Moscona and other media guys have said that Howard was the best QB physically during fall camp. Basically saying that when he gets the mental side down, LSU is in good hands.

They do this in college and the NFL all the time. Russell Shepard was a high school QB that converted to WR. Hines Ward, Antwaan Randel-El, Julian Edelman, and Anquan Bolden were all quarterbacks in high school. Matt Jones, Randall Cobb, Braxton Miller...the list goes on for college QB's converted to WR. If Daniels is serious about the NFL then he needs to consider a position change. He's a mediocre dual-threat at best.

I thought Jalen Hurts would never be an NFL QB his years at Bama. He was one of the more inaccurate passers I’ve seen in the SEC the last 20 years. Look at him in the NFL now, he’s throwing dimes.

Progression/improvement is not linear. Is JD perfect? No. Do we come close to winning 9 games without him? No.

The best of all worlds would be for Howard/Nuss QB battle and a change of position to WR for Daniels.I think he could have a Tyrelle Pryor-type career as an NFL reciever. I just don't know that he will make it in the leage at QB. If he's confused by coverages now, i can only imagine what reading defenses would be like for him in the NFL.

Comparing him to a few other other mobile QB's, at the college level, Daniels is a more accomplished passer than Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Ryan Tannehill, and Jalen Hurts was after 3 years at Alabama and Russell Wilson was after 3 years at NC State.

He can hold 3 clipboards at once. Absolutely game changing.
