Ok yea, we lost to Tennessee. But we would have beat a team that beat Tennessee if we win out

Thinking proactively,
If lsu wins out and beats UGA In the SECCG Lsu will be the #1 or #2 seed. Its not that difficult to comprehend.
Yes, LSU did lose EARLY in the season to Tenn. Consider LSU had several injuries and TENN was in full force However Georgia is by far the overall #1 seed and they Dog fricked Tenn so if Lsu beats GEORGIA (#1) they will now become the new #1 seed and the loss to TENN will only cause them to lose 1 spot and possible be the #2 team instead of #1.
I would be more concerned if i was Georgia or TENN. If LSU beats Georgia in the SECCG They (Dogs) will drop to #2 respectively and TENN will be out of the top 4.
Or the committee could consider Tenn win over LSU but their loss to Georgia and Putt Tenn to #1 and LSU to #2 since they beat Georgia and leave Georgia out of the playoffs.
With either scenario the most logical of all is number 1. If lsu wins out and beats Georgia in the SECCG they (lsu) will be either the #1 or the #2 seed.

He said basing it off of what has happened since 2014, we wouldn’t get in, which he’s right because it’s never happened before.
going into the SEC Championship, Auburn was 10-2 and ranked #2. They had beaten UGA (pretty bad) during the regular season, so they were favored to do so again. And ranked #2, they were clearly going to get into the playoffs. That would have been the first 2-loss team in the playoffs.
UGA won instead, and the SEC got 2 teams in- UGA and Bama. That was the first time a conference got 2 teams into the playoffs.
Both won their semifinals, and Bama beat UGA in a classic final.
Last year, we again saw 2 teams from the same conference- UGA and Bama again. And again, both won their semifinals, for a second all-SEC final. *3rd, if you count the 2011 BCS matchup of LSU-Bama, which was the only time the BCS matched 2 teams from a single conference.
You review the above, and there is one thing in common for all that is listed: SEC teams.
The SEC champion will get in

Everyone is going linear in their thinking. It happens.
If winning, win more just comes.
Unless it does not.
This team has far outpaced my expectations given from where they started, 27 schollies on roster for bowl game, new HC, 4th DC in 4 years, new OC, S&C, QB, kicker (highest scorer on team), and whirlwind of transfers...
Just please focus on going 1-0 each week for the next 3 weeks.
If not, you are setting up head to wall therapy.

If LSU were to win out and beat UGA in SEC championship game the tigers would be a Cinderella team. Everyone loves the preseason disaster blooming into an 800 lb gorilla.

Would really be stupid for UGA to lose its conference championship twice in a row and still get in the playoffs.

Oh man when has that happened before …

It’s the SEC and I have seen crazier stuff. Have we forgotten Missouri gave Georgia all they can handle. Anybody can slip up. But regardless this is the perfect storm for 3 SEC teams to make the playoffs and totally piss off the entire country outside of the SEC

Style points matter going forward!
LSU needs to dominate every opponent from here on out. Do that and a 10+ ppt win against UGA, there is no way we are left out. Don't give them any excuses.

But that’s the point, it hasn’t happened before.
In 2016, Penn State and Wisconsin played for the Big 10 championship. Neither of them made the playoffs, Ohio State did. Not saying LSU can’t make it, but a 2 loss teams has never made the playoffs, that’s just a fact.

Yup, we have a chance to have beaten every west opponent, AND Florida. SEC west champs. And a chance to take down Georgia like the last couple times we met them.
So worst case scenario, we get a good bowl game.

They don't have to jump Tennessee. They just have to get to 4th place.
