Car Stolen and Returned

Car was stolen as part of a crime spree. Guy who stole car killed 2 people then killed himself and car has $8,000 damage. Insurance says they will not total it since crimes weren’t committed in the car, but murder weapon was in vehicle when guy traveled to each crime spot. Should insurance total vehicle? Currently getting fixed, but No One wants to drive it. Vehicle came back smelling like drugs, cigarettes, and murder.

Get the car fixed and then if you don’t want to drive it sell it.

Sounds suspect. I would imagine the PD might want to hang on to that vehicle as evidence.

I'm pretty sure I bought a murder car about ten years ago from an Iranian running a Hwy 78 trailer lot just east of ATL. Didn't notice blood stains at first, but after owning it for a little while, started seeing them everywhere. Whatever cover-up on the upholstery they were using wasn't holding up. It was a little gray Toyota Echo. Great little car. The most blood stains were in the drivers seat like it was pooling up from a bleeding victim.

I’m assuming he used his weapon to off himself and he wasn’t in the car when he did it.
If insurance is covering the $8k, have the car detailed and drive on. Or trade it in after repairs. Or park it in the projects and call an Uber.

Would be an interesting diminished value case if there was any value for an attorney in pursuing such.

Tell him to suck it up buttercup. Read his insurance policy and see what it says it covers or sell it and get him a new grocery getter.

I think I'd just get one of those green trees and drive it.

What kind of drugs? Anything as toxic as fentanyl?
