Americans are lazy AF

After this evening’s soccer practice, my kids wanted to hit up McDonald’s. We let them get fast food 2 times per month, so I caved.
The drive thru was wrapped around the building, so I went in while they sat in the truck.
They didn’t have anyone working the registers, so I ordered at the self order kiosk. About 10 mins into my wait, I struck up conversation with the other 3 people who were also waiting. They were ALL THREE door dash runners. I said something like ‘people are for real willing to pay for fast food to be delivered?’ Yep…they pay around $1 extra per individual item to DD and then a tip which goes to the driver.
So a McD’s combo is probably $9…then add $3 DD fee and a $5 per combo tip, that’s $17 for a burger combo.
Where does this madness end?

Maybe if there was no line at McDonalds this thread would make sense. You’re the one waiting with a line wrapped around McDonalds while those guys sit and home and jack it to pictures of Whitney Van.

Those delivery services are a rip off and the food is never as good. Unless you’ve been drinking, make the 5/10 minute drive and pick it up.

People are lazy all around
My sil owns a pizza place
Her drivers can make 300 in a 8/9 her shift. Slow days they still take in 150/175
They get mostly repeat customers
People not only tip well, they apparently never cook
It’s crazy
On top of that they make minimum wage
And mile reimbursement
