How does anyone get arrested in New Orleans

He's probably lucky he didn't meet a real new orleanian or he'd be dead.

There needs to be a big sign in the locker room saying commit all your felonies in Orleans Parish so they go away.

What kind of events fall under aggravated assault with a firearm?

Let's hypothesize.

Road rage on the way to the office?

They do not involve the bullets hitting the person of another, which hurts his analogy/joke (which implied Marcus Williams' shots would also fail to hit the person of another).

You shoot a gun and hit somebody without proper legal justification and it moves from the assault category to battery and likely an attempted murder charge.

Maye, according to a JPSO press release, "was identified as the driver of a black SUV that was involved in an incident in which he is accused of pointing a firearm at another vehicle that was occupied by several juvenile females."
WTF?

Either NOPD doesn’t show up or Teedy is sitting with in the courtroom.

Pretty easy defense here, unless the girls had dashcam.

"I didn't do this. They see a rich black man in an SUV in Metairie and decide to harass him."

Its JP, but he probably gets it knocked down to something minor.

Likely was getting carjacked, defended himself and the mayor pressed charges on the offenders behalf.

Jefferson parish

Pointed a gun at a group of females. You couldn't be more wrong.

Ok this doesn’t sound as bad as it could be. It’s not domestic at least.

yah I mean I could come up with a theory that wouldn't be very bad.

Scary black man gets into a wreck with a car full of white women.

White women (in a state of panic), see scary black man coming out of his car with a weapon.

In a hysterical fashion, scared white women say scary black man pointed a gun at them.

(I know this would have worked in Orleans Parish)

What part of Old Metairie did this happen in? Was it near Big Lee's house in OM?

Did Marcus Maye hire an attorney who doesn't have a website for his firm?

Who also represents the Police Association of New Orleans
