The Rimac Nevera is quicker than the tesla plaid. Look up that electric car!!
quote:
Well, here’s the world’s fastest electric car, the Rimac Nevera. Rimac previewed it as a concept called C_Two at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show and rolled out the production version three years later and christened it Nevera. The Nevera tops the list of the fastest electric cars in the world with a top speed of 258 mph! It’s not just this; the Nevera sprint to 60 mph from a standstill in 1.5 seconds, to 180 mph from rest in 9.3 seconds, and runs the quarter-mile distance in 8.6 seconds.
quote:
The Nevera features a quad-motor setup that makes it an all-wheel-drive car. The total power output is 1,914 horses and 1,741 pound-feet of twist. It features a 120 kWh battery pack that helps it achieve 342 miles on a single charge as per the WLTP ratings. This electric supercar is highly aero-efficient and even comes with a ‘High Downforce’ mode that boosts the downforce by 326-percent! The Nevera will be limited to 150 examples

Are you really comparing a Ferrari power plant to a Ford? I get they were basically copying the Ferrari design but come on.

quote:The point went right over your head. I'll try again.
By me presenting facts that you do not like, you take that as me hating others? Lol
When you present facts, it's cool. When others do the exact same thing and present facts, they're cultists? Do you still want not see your error here?
quote:Did our say it cost $22k to replace a battery or $22k to replace a battery for 1 guy only?
I said every owner? Wow, never knew that.

All I said was “now do fuel times” and of course one of you had to respond as if I was attacking your own child. It’s so predictable.

“Our” said that I said all battery replacements cost $22k. Then went on to say that was 100% false. I then provide an example of it, and you move the goal posts.. lol
At the end of it all, you will save more money up front with electric. But over the lifetime of a vehicle it will all even out. Sorry, just how it’s going to work. If it was indeed so much better then it wouldn’t need the government’s help like it currently does.

quote:I did nothing remotely close to this. Now you're responding with a shite ton of emotion, so what does that make you? Sounds like you're becoming a cultist, by your own logic
All I said was “now do fuel times” and of course one of you had to respond as if I was attacking your own child
A poster said you were butthurt, which yes is an emotional response, but you equated that to attacking your child, which is by far the most emotional and thing posted in this thread. Whatever is 2nd isn't even close.
quote:Literally what you're doing. You said a battery replacement costs $22k, and now you're backtracking from that comment by conceding that was only 1 example when you very very clearly posted in a way that the only possible logical conclusion was you saying that's the going rate on replacing a battery for all. You are 100% backing off that comment now, it's ok, no big deal. But that is what you are doing.
and you move the goal posts
quote:You are again assuming every lesson why purchases an EV MUST replace the battery and do so at $22k, which again is inaccurate. In fact, I'm an example of that. My 2nd EV will arrive next week, and wouldn't you know it, I did not have to replace the battery on the first one, so can you explain how it evened out for me if I saved more up front AND saved more on vehicle maintenance during the time I owned the vehicle?

And there it is!
That’s why you immediately got so pissy when I mentioned refuel/recharge times!
Alright, so how many miles did you have on your first ev before exchanging it?
Do you have another vehicle that you use?
How long did you have the first EV before trading it in?

quote:There what is? This makes no sense. I provided a simple factual statement. Do you disagree with the fact that I own an EV, I'm not sure what you're even talking about right now, that's a terribly weird response to a factual statement I made. What part of that fact is the gotcha you think it is?
And there it is!

Yes
3 years
Now do you realize why your post about it evening out was factually incorrect? Because it did not even out for me so that fact proves your assertion to be inaccurate.
It's just very odd responses from you at this point. I'm posting simple facts, and you're making odd replies like, "there it is"... There what is?

I do wonder if/when we ever get to the point where electric car batteries have extremely high range (600 miles? 1000?), will we see race cars in Nascar and Formula 1 go electric? In theory they would be faster and you wouldn't need to pit for gas.

I like my ZL1. It’s not as fast as the Plaid but it makes me laugh…that’s all I need.

Why would they not need to pit? To achieve the speeds needed to be competitive takes a certain amount of stored energy determined by the weight and aerodynamics of the race car. We are a long way from batteries that have the energy density per weight equal to a fossil fuel.

I saw this Pornhub video once where the chick got her Tesla warmed up, put it in ludacris mode or whatever it is called and put her guy behind the wheel.
She stripped down, gave him a blowjob, then climbed on his dick and had him floor it.
shite was wild.

I am not sure, but some EV cultist did. All I did was bring up a valid point, and right on cue i am barraged with people getting offended. Every. Single. Time.

You are exactly how I thought you’d be. Wow.
I only have a few more questions.
1. Do you think the government should mandate/push EVs?
2. Did you purchase the EV to save money?
Posted on 8/21/22 at 6:39 pm to jnethe1
quote:Are you still complaining about being called out for being a cultist while calling others cultists? Do you honestly and truly not understand that the "valid point" you bring up is brought up by every single anti-EV cultist in every single EV thread? You even admit that it happens to you "every single time". How many times have you hammered on the same point that everyone is already obviously aware of?
All I did was bring up a valid point, and right on cue i am barraged with people getting offended. Every. Single. Time.
The first step to understanding what you perceive to be "cult" behavior in others is to recognize your own cult behavior.

quote:So you accused me without even knowing and then ended up being wrong... sounds a bit like an emotional response from you, right?
I am not sure
quote:What behavior? Go ahead, I'm fairly certain you have no clue here, especially considering you were spouting off emotional opinions above about me responding to you then admitting you didn't even know if I responded to you. But explain what behaviors, and choose one I actually did, not ones you don't even know if I did but figured you'd accuse me of it anyway like you did before.
The explanation for your behavior/responses.
I stated a fact, you now are responding to that fact with emotions, not facts. Seems a touch cultist of you to do.
quote:Awfully convenient to ask questions then claim you nailed it after the fact.
You are exactly how I thought you’d be. Wow.
quote:No
. Do you think the government should mandate/push EVs?
quote:No
Did you purchase the EV to save money?
Is this the part where you tell the truth that you didn't expect those answers or will you claim again that you knew I'd answer exactly that way?
Also, why did you ignore the fact that my use case proves your point wrong about evening out because you MUST replace a battery and it will cost $22k? You conveniently stopped talking to about that, and seemingly won't concede it's something you were clearly wrong about.

That's not even mentioning being so emotional that he admitted to accusing of me of replying to a post of his when he wasn't even sure if I actually did reply.
