Are you saying he will not be on the roster, will not play or there will be no injuries at the position?
What I'm saying is Brennan didn't recommit to LSU to be a starter. He recommitted to be a backup and to get back on the lucrative NIL gravy train.
If Brennan really wanted to be the starter he would not have skipped out all summer long on throwing passes to the wide receivers like both Nuss and Daniels did. Hey, to each his own.

. If Myles Brennan was Joe Smith at SomewhereElse Univeristy, not a single person on this board would say he's going to make an NFL roster.
quote:I don't think Brennan should start, but if he does, I'll fully support him. I want LSU to win, period, regardless of who's at QB.
If Myles starts this year, the meltdown from you people is going to be so fricking awesome.
My post above was about some people thinking Brennan was going to make an NFL roster, which I find utterly absurd, given the data points we have thus far.

uh, no. Those are intangible, just like the "it" factor.
I find it absurd that legitimate sports fans are denying the existence of the "it" factor among certain athletes.
Charisma: "compelling attractiveness or charm that can inspire devotion in others."
Stage presence: "the ability to command the attention of a theater audience by the impressiveness of one's manner or appearance."
You are just combining the best traits of a football player and calling it an "it factor"

He's an injury away from playing, and potentially starting.
the odds are he'll get plenty of playing time this year, and the turds will melt down.

Does anyone seriously believe Daniels has a legitimate shot at winning the starting QB job
You're going to look pretty dumb in 2 weeks when he wins the job.
You don't leave a p5 starting position and throw yourself into the middle of a deep quarterback room without some kind of assurance you're getting the job.
He was brought here by Kelly when Kelly knew he had two other quarterbacks in the room already. There was a reason for that.

All of that is great. That wasn't what they were talking about though. He was specifically talking about if LSU were down by 6 with 2 minutes left with the game on the line.
Then Nuss with his supreme confidence and elite arm talent is who I would want in the game.

Hasn't the window already closed for him to transfer and play elsewhere this year? or is the rule different for a grad transfer? He also has several NIL deals that may or may not contractually obligate him to stay put. Not to mention the season starts in less than 3 weeks. Where is he gonna go and be able to start with essentially no time with his new team?

By the way, the "it" factor applies to nearly all industries. Some teachers have it. Some CEOs have it, some don't. Some public speakers have it. Some preachers have it.
So the "it" factor applies across the board -- and that includes sports.

Man I can't keep up with you guys
So when Brennan puts up 34 and 41 points but loses the game because the defense gives up 40 plus points it's his fault because the quarterback should have been able to win despite the shitty defense.
Yet Nuss and his offense only managed to put up 13 points but it's not his fault they lost because the defense gave up 16 points and cade York missed a field goal.
When anyone tries to bring up points like that for Brennan they just get told that shouldn't matter. I don't see you bringing up the fact that LSU WRs lead the nation and drops when Brennan was quarterback. Or that late in the Missouri game York had a field goal blocked which made LSU have to score a TD in that last possession versus kicking a field goal for the easy win.
It's just such a thick double standard

Well, if Nuss gets injured then I would prefer Brennan over Daniels because at least Brennan can get the ball out to the receivers in space and Daniels can't.

Brandon Harris also had confidence and an elite arm. You want him too? Basically every highly rated QB coming out of high school has confidence and arm talent. That doesn't make them good.

So you stupidly believe that Brian Kelly is going to risk losing a QB as talented as Nuss to the transfer portal to start a QB like Daniels that over half the posters on this forum can pass better than. You're more than crazy.

You people must live in a hole in the ground. He wasn't brought in here by Kelly. Instead, Daniels contacted Kelly and asked him if he could come play for LSU. Then Kelly said after he gave it some thought, he agreed to it to increase the competition in the QB room.

Damn you stop making sense.
Yeah let's just ignore the fact that TDP ran for over 100 yards and the defense only gave up 16 points the entire game.
Man if the defense that Myles had only gave up 16 points the entire game he would have outscored everybody by 20 plus points.

Armchair logic
Defense gives up 45 points and LSU rushes for under 50yds. Myles fault we lost
Defense gives up 16 points and LSU rushes for over 120yds. Nuss was the only reason we had a shot.

reason why Brennan is running with the number threes is because he didn't care enough about winning the starting job in the summer to show up at summer workouts to throw with the receivers like both Nuss and Daniels did every day during summer workouts and even on breaks.
Is this true or rant myth? It sounds like many of the rant myths that get repeated here until someone believes it. Does anybody have a link to someone saying Brennan didn't workout this summer.
All I have is Brian Kelly at SEC media days saying "Brennan is one of the best leaders on the team". This was well into summer workouts. Seems an odd thing for Kelly to say if he knew Brennan wasn't there doing summer work.
Also reports out of spring ball where Brennan was leading the workouts and working hard. Seems weird he would just stop after that.
Again, I have no idea who win but the Brennan gave up narrative strikes me as fantasy until someone confirms it.
