Should’t you be able to petition that state’s “well regulated militia?”

Just go get a Mississippi permit. It reciprocates with Louisiana.

I called the LA State Police CC Division and was told by a Trooper that it is no problem. Go to a Doc In A Box or an ER and have the MD fill out the form. It is about your current mental or medical state, not past history.
The only reason LA has a permit requirement is because LA legislators have never met a fee that they don't love.
Honorably discharged vets in Louisiana can now concealed carry without a permit as of this past Monday. All you need is proof of your status (normally on DL/ID).

The right to live in their home for one. The person I know that this was based on was taken out of their home and committed to a psych ward. All on the advice of a doctor.

I’ll take my chances with an armed crazy person than a government who disarms its citizenry

Look into becoming a reserve at your local law enforcement department. Get a commission and you can carry anywhere in the United States no matter the laws in that state . Officers safety act , which was signed in 2004 .

Doctors should not have any sort of power to approve or disapprove of one's choice to conceal carry. Many of them practice defensively and will never grant the approval for fear of being sued in the future if something untoward occurs.

you no longer need a permit to carry if youre a veteran. you just need to have a veteran status on your license, official veteran status card, or DD214. It was passed last week
Agreed.

Serious question......are you on govt disability and receiving a check. If so what % are you?

I understand your sentiment. You are right to question the government’s intent and actions. Things are setting up nicely for potential poop/fan scenarios. There has been no better time, in recent history, to put our faith in God- not man.
