What people aren't seeming to understand that the length of the prison sentence is definitely politically motivated, unless the Russians regard 0.7 grams of hash oil as '10 times the one-time dose,' which is the definition they use to define large-scale drug amounts.

Is Russia politicizing it? You're goddamned right they are, they're fricking RUSSIA. Maybe you haven't heard, but the Russian government doesn't like Americans. Don't give them the chance to play politics.
