Anyone else feel that everything in the MCU is meaningless now because of the multiverse?

Major character dies? Plenty copies to take his place from another universe.
OMG X-men in Ms Marvel! Already happened in another universe.
The fate of the entire world is threatened??? No biggie, we’ll just merge with another universe or something crazy.
No permanent consequences really makes it hard to care…

The multiverse is far from the MCU’s biggest problem. Lazy scripts with forced political narratives and cheesy 13 year old comedy grows old after a while.
Eta if they bring back Daredevil and frick it up I’ll be really PO’d

Except the version that you care about is gone if they die.

all different versions and not the same character that we are seeing on screen and whose story we are following.

Look. I’m not gonna bitch too much about a spoiler in freaking Ms Marvel, but damn dude. It’s 10:30 in the morning.
ETA not as bad as I thought after having to watch it w my kids. Agree w poster below me it wasn’t a big deal and was done poorly, but in my defense, dude said there was “X-men in ms marvel”. While that turned out not to be the case, if it had been, that would have been a pretty big spoiler to casually mention

Not much of a spoiler. Shits cheesy and dorky as hell.

In MOM they also talked about the damage that comes from someone being in the wrong universe too long. Same with timelines. A person from one universe or timeline is extremely dangerous to the fabric of space/time when they’re in the wrong place.

The Multiverse has been done fine by MCU imo. Could it be better? Sure. Is this what they need to focus on fixing? No

Can you list out those "forced political narratives" for me?

The main issue for me is after committing 14ish years to watching these movies, we've already seen the major event happen that was built up for a very long time and have seen characters that you have grown to care about now exit.
Yeah some of the concepts they're doing is cool but they're spreading my attention/interest thin by introducing so many new characters, a few duds on the big screen and on TV, and when looking at the catalog of Marvel characters you wonder how they fit in the X-Men and FF and not having the audience give the biggest eye roll.
I'll still watch most of the movies and some of the shows but the days of having to go opening night or weekend are kind of behind me now. I think the fatigue is starting to set in, let's see if the MCU has the firepower to get people like me to fully engage like before.

Do you even comics, bro?

I agree. They've opened the idea of the universe/multiverse being so big that nothing truly matters. Nothing seems tied together anymore. We've had multiple MCU movies since eternals and none of them have cared to acknowledge the big arse frozen celestial coming out of the earth

I've said since Loki ended that the multiverse is a terrible, cheap trick.
They opened it up for lazy story telling where nobody can question anything or any dumb timeline because, hey, Multiverse!

Marvel jumped the shark long ago, hard to believe people still invest time and care into it.

I've always hated time travel and alternate dimensions/universes. It's just lazy writing.

I think it is okay in where we see it now, but i just hope they don't keep forcing every movie down the rabbit hole. But I agree with the other poster who mentioned losing interest. I'm a big Marvel fan, but idk what I'm gonna do when we start losing all of the big time avengers.

Mcu died with The Snap. Endgame was a mistake.

MCU has always been total cheese and lame jokes made for children. PC and Disney drove the dagger in for older fans

Marvel is done, its over.
