The 105 mm Howitzer Motor Carriage M7 was an American self-propelled gun vehicle produced during World War II. It was given the official service name 105 mm Self Propelled Gun, Priest by the British Army, due to the pulpit-like machine gun ring, and following on from the Bishop and the contemporary Deacon self-propelled guns.

Thanks. This one was a bit of a challenge. The instructions were vague in places and the fit on some of the parts was not great.

The weathering on your models is very impressive!

Thanks, I appreciate that. I went light on this one because it depicts a vehicle from early in the Normandy invasion. Thus it had not really had time to to have much wear and tear other than to get a bit dusty and dirty.

Loos like a repurposed Grant/Lee tank.

How long does it take to assemble a unit like that?

Nicely done, Darth.
Certainly does look like a pulpit.

My wife's uncle was a crewmember on one of these and was killed near the Rhine river in Feb of 1945.

Had to cut and sand? Used putty?

Thats because it is. The M7 used the M3 hull.
Thanks!

Thats very nice. Might have to grab that one for my stash. Nice job with this Vader. I'm also working on a Italeri kit. The WLA 750. Also have some fit issues. Parts are not numbered on the spru. You have to keep cross checking page 1 for the part numbers. Still have a few days left of work plus decals. Current progress.

Id say I had probably 20-30 hours in this one.

Great looking bike. I was actually surprised at how much this model was a challenge due to fit and the instructions. Thats not been my experience up until now with Italeri kits.
