Patagonia Will Bail Out Employees Arrested in Abortion Protests

Patagonia Inc. said it would provide bail for employees who are arrested while protesting after the US Supreme Court eliminated the constitutional right to abortion.
The benefit covers full- and part-time workers who “peacefully protest for reproductive justice,” the outdoor apparel company told employees Friday. It also pledged to pay for travel, lodging and food for staff on its health-care plans who need to seek abortion procedures.
Patagonia joins a growing list of US corporations that have committed to cover expenses for workers who live in states with restricted access to abortion care. The company said it’s the responsibility of businesses to offer staff “the dignity of access to reproductive health care.”

“It means supporting employees’ choices around if or when they have a child,” the company said. “It means giving parents the resources they need to work and raise children.”

Patagonia, known for its activism across a variety of social and environmental issues, encourages employees to get involved in causes, provides protest training and gives workers time off to vote at each election. The company has long offered to post bail for staff arrested in peaceful demonstrations.

Why isn't this considered inciting criminal activity?

I need a “Amazon” type company that only provides goods from conservative Christian companies. I also need a list of all companies to boycott.

AGAIN, why do these companies think they have jurisdiction in times of change?
Who gives a shite how a liberal company stands on persoanl issues? They should be far more intrerested in the economy, inlfation, the border, etc!

Better start making your own clothes then.

Is only a suspicion. But are these corporations getting paid to support this destruction? How many companies are pushing issues which cost them profits. A company cant find workers but fires unvaxed? Some with stocks tanking and layoffs but still push? Is it funding terrorism?

Why do they need this “bail out coverage” if it “covers” protesters who peacefully protest?

Does this put them on the hook for any damages incurred tonight?

LOL, stupid Hippie company can afford to do this, as all their customers are high-earning granola eaters.

the constitutional right
Hmmmmmm....
Difficult to take anything written after this as serious
It was never a right, and it's certainly not in the Constitution

Same. Have a hard time reconciling it. I will try to avoid buying new gear. But I’m not going to toss the old out.
Maybe put a piece of tape on top of the name.
