When will arrogant rich people in this country learn that no one gives a single frick about football from mid February through July especially football with legitimate 6th and 7th stringers.

I enjoyed tuning in to these leagues up until the USFL. This new version is an insult to the original. Hershel Walker, Jim Kelly, Doug Flutie, Steve Young, Mike Rozier, Bobby Hebert, Brian Sipe, etc. There was some real star power in those days.
Now, we have decent unis, no fans, C level players (at best), and a stadium in Birmingham. Sorry, but I’d rather watch regular season baseball, postseason basketball and hockey, golf, or binge watch some shitty show my wife likes.

I do agree that XFL 2.0 was actually entertaining and decent football. But if I remember correctly they were having issues making payroll even before COVID was an issue so I don't think they would have made it still.
Pretty sure that was the AAF. The XFL’s payroll was based on gate receipts. So if gate receipts went down, payroll went down. That is why it couldn’t survive a shutdown for a few months, play in empty stadiums, or do a bubble.

The next thing we will want to know which cities are going to have a team. Anyone know?

Stadium is the least of the problem. TV market is the problem. Not enough big TV markets to keep it afloat.

The problem is that nobody wants to watch football outside the fall. That first week or 2 is nice. But after, it’s just background noise.

Oh yeah I think that's right. I actually forgot the AAF existed.
