I down voted you only because there are great alternatives and everyone on this board should be knowledgeable enough to avoid HFCS whenever possible. I buy the kroger natural brand with only two ingredients: peanuts and salt. You have to stir it which is a turn off for most people.

The rule of thumb is that if you don't have to stir it it's bullshite.

3 grams of sugar isn’t much at all..no one’s eating peanut butter to get their sugar fix

Intermittent fasting is a great kick start and/or lifestyle if you’re up for it, as many have already pointed out. One thing I do find myself craving is something sweet after that first meal (lunch) so I usually drink a diet Dr Pepper with it or have a couple little mini size chocolates. I’ve also found drinking a lot of water through the day helps. I’m also a late night snacker with a sweet tooth. I usually give myself freedom on the weekend but during the week I stay strict by having some good fruit on hand like bananas or strawberries, so I can just snack on those when my cravings kick in. Find a structure that works for you. I also remind myself I hate walking around with a bloated gut and a tucked in shirt at work, and that usually helps motivate me a little lol

It gets worse as you get older.
So if you can get past this and your still young.
I wouldnt mess around with it.

You have to find a meal plan that works for you- there are plenty of clean options that aren’t bad for you that will keep you satiated where you don’t have to crave junk. It took me a LONG LONG time to figure this out- my heroin was salty snacks- like chips, the worse part was I heard a nutritionist on TV once say “You can eat all the Hummus you want” Guess what? I became a fiend for Stacy’s pita chips with gobs of Hummus.
The first thing to know is CICO works- Calories in Calories out. This is irrefutable.
When I’m not training…here’s what I eat…
Breakfast
224g Cottage Cheese w/ 20g Honey
Smoothie at Breakfast-
2 Scoops Chocolate Whey
1 Banana
1 Cup 1% Milk
This breakfast will keep you satisfied all the way to lunch- promise. Bring you a little fruit if you need a snack.
Lunch
250-300g grilled chicken thighs- I do them on the pellet grill on Sunday. Fill up a whole damn gallon Ziploc bag full of them.
185g of Quinoa- my wife cooks it with black beans and salsa mixed in. It’s unbelievably good.
Spinach Salad- with Cherub cherry tomoatoes, and I splurge with a few croutons (remember my heroin) and a drizzle of regular dressing- life’s too short to have to not taste good food.
Snack
Before I leave work, I catch a tub of Chobani Greek Yougurt- this keeps me full until I get home.
Dinner
Approx 200g of some other protien
Maybe a hamburger steak I meal prepped, or some more chicken.
The key is that you have to eat foods that satisfy you. There are plenty of them out there.
Now, if you add up all my calories, you’ll see that’s barely 2000. What I find it does is, it allows me to grab a little junk off my kids plates or out the pantry without freaking out. I probably really eat 2200-2400 per day. My total calorie burn when I’m not training is about 3000.
Doing this, I’m able to lose about 2 lbs. a week on average when I’m on a gym break for whatever reason.

It's really easy to do and not catch it. 2k extra calories a day. I can easily eat 5k+ calories a day and I'm normally burning around 3k. Cakes and sweets add up fast..

Gym is easy.
Diet is the toughest. It's all mental though. Your surroundings affect it too.
What really gets to people is when you follow your diet the the T and see nothing for weeks at a time..

I’ve lost about 30 pounds from my peak a year or two ago. Not a full blown diet, just being a bit more careful.

I've heard it's more addictive than powdered cocaine. It's real.
But it's the modern Era. You can make/eat very good--not AS good--but perfectly sufficiently sweet food with fake sugars.

Doesn’t the diet drinks like DP zero make you crave sweets even more?
