Ted Lasso series started out funny, but then it started getting lame when they brought in the woman psychiatrist and some of the episodes were dark and unfunny.

With all due respect that is hogwash. You have a non-married relationship long term, two kids, one of the partners screwing around, now custody proceedings...
That is a bunch of hollywood "we're too good for normal stuff" that bit them in the butt.
seems pretty normal to me, plenty of with similar relationships all over america

You don’t know when or where the other party will be served papers. I’m a teacher/coach and was already divorced but I got served papers at work in front of my principal for a scheduled court meeting about setting up electronic support payments while getting the softball field ready. Very embarrassing. The ex and I have a good working relationship and I called or texted her pretty mad about it but she had no idea they would do it there. Now this could be different but usually they just look for a place they know they can find you

I get that they just need to find you wherever you are, but they don't have to embarrass you like that.

They were engaged to be married before it fell apart. It's not like they said frick marriage we're too good for that. A piece of paper wouldn't have saved their relationship anyway. It's not like married people who have kids never get divorced.

Y'all actin like no marriage has ever failed, no spouse has ever cheated, and no divorce has ever involved nasty custody struggles.
Marriage in this instance wouldn't have changed anything except for adding a new battle over money.

the woman psychiatrist
Thanks for letting us know who you're talking about, as opposed to the very prominent "man psychiatrist" featured in the show.

I'm also assuming its more complicated by her being a celebrity. Hard to just approach her on a Tuesday at 2-m in a mansion with possible security. If she's having a public panel, you know where she will be at a specific date and time.

“Hollywood.” LOL. Do you even Louisiana, bro?

Meh. Something about her has always screamed "batshit crazy" to me.

Except they weren’t married
And had children out of wedlock

i didn't have a strong opinion on her either way, but then she got really pissy about nobody going to see her awkward lesbian teen movie (which was well made, just not my cup of tea) and i kinda soured on her.

they have an envelope
their job is to get that envelope in your hands
and they will get that envelope in your hands...
(and yes... they will search out a place and time they know you have to be)

Yawn.
