Makes sense. I use permethrin on all my camping gear to help against ticks.

Sit outside with an ice chest full of beer, a badminton or tennis racket and whack those suckers!

Carpenter bee trap. If you're handy, you can make em at home. If not, you can get them lots of places. Local hardware store, flea markets, etsy, ebay, etc, etc, etc. I make my own and kill the frick out of em.

Man, I made some of those last year and they didn’t work unfortunately. But they seem to be successful for many people.

I made one last year and I was disappointed that it didn't work the first few days. Then I smacked a carpenter bee, picked it up, and put it inside the trap. I guess they release pheromones because it worked like a charm after that.

Just don't use liquid nails. When it hardens, they will dig it out.

I usually give the holes a shot of Bengal and then use a dowel to plug. I use the precut ones from Depot.

The traps worked for me. It took about a week or two for one to find it, but once that one did they flocked to it.

That may have been it. I used some wood I found in the shed.

Haven’t found anything to keep them away for extended periods of time. Tried traps, permethrin, bifen, demon etc etc. They always come back.

WD-40 in the holes and they’ll fall out. Brings smiles.
