Which is superior? Let’s settle this once and for all.
North Louisiana is often compared to South Louisiana. Let’s go east vs west.

Both SELA and SWLA agree that life is better south of I10/I12.

One side has boudin, the other doesn't.

One side seasons their crawfish boil water
One side boils them in tap water and then "dusts" the crawfish in an ice chest.
Clearly... SELA is better.
Also, SELA has no alternative to the New Iberia Haircut...

Grew up in vermilion parish in the middle of rice/crawfish fields, have never been to a boil at someone’s house who does it like that.
I’ve seen at restaurants, and even then it’s usually only “extra” seasoning that they throw on top if you order it spicy, they are still typically boiled with seasoning.
Where’s the line of demarcation between East and West? The Atchafalaya?

I don’t understand where people get this from. I have not seen this widespread in SWLA like the way the OT makes it seem. Now, in Texas? Damn right they do that. Hell, these idiots even smother boiled crawfish in some buttery/hot sauce blend. Then turn around and try to charge $9.99. It’s awful.

We had a bunch of friends get together for a weekend trip at Lake Chicot State Park during lent a few years ago. We went to a local place in Ville Platte figured it would be great crawfish but no… shite was boiled in water and dusted in a box, biggest disappointment ever…

One side catches 80% of the crawfish…..

Are they really comparable? One side has almost 3 million people and the other's biggest city is Lafayette.

That line is just about drawn through my house. I can't tell if I'm in West Mississippi or Real Louisiana

west provides the ingrediants
east provides the recipe
east provides the recipe

That map is stupid. In no real world is vile platte and Eunice “East Texas”. Those are two of the most “Louisiana” places in the entire state. Easily. Hell, French is still heavily spoken by the older people around there.

SW controls all the essential boudin and crawfish supplies. They also have loops on their interstate systems which gives them a logistical advantage.

Southwestern had a better program.

We've all spoken and have an offer.
Arkansas is on board with annexing NLa without issue. As is, no contingency. East Texas proposes you throw in Lafayette and all the coastline south to include Blanche Bay and west to the Sabine.
We need a counter by Friday please.

I’m going with SW Louisiana just because they don’t have New Orleans and the surrounding slums.
