Has anyone received this degree from Nichols University and if so what job do you have using this degree. Trying to help my son choose a degree they offer. Thanks

He’ll have a better future with a gender studies degree

We aren't far from petro engineers being charged with crimes against humanity. He might want to to look into coding.

Before he decides he needs to select nutz for his truck, only then will he have success in oil, if he doesn't like nutz he's better off in a different area

As a geoscientist who started in O&G, I can say with confidence he should do something outside of O&G.

I'm a lowly coder and not an engineer. Aren't "engineer" and "engineering technology" the same thing?

It’s not an engineering degree so he won’t get offers related to that job field for any majors or independents although I do know of one man who made it big with the tech degree. Schlumberger and Halliburton might take a look as a field engineer but upward mobility will be limited.
Speaking from over 25 years experience, I would tell your son to look into another field or go to an accredited engineering school and take up ChemE or Mechanical.

It's like architecture and construction management.

Civil Engineering is better considering the direction the world is going.

Looking at a possible baseball scholarship there. If not it may be La Tech which has a good engineering dept

Yes, Tech’s engineering dept is light years better
Nicholls is more of a teacher’s college - not that there is anything wrong with that - but it’s not an engineering school
