My oldest sister used to date a guy that went to LSU Law School back in late 60's (I think). Anyway, while there, he lived in this old house on Highland Rd. north of the campus that was famous for its poker games. He claims Steven Stills sat in on a few games.

I like S a lot better than C and N. S's affiliation with LSU is only one of many reasons. I like Y a lot better than C, S, & N put together, however.

Also went to my high school in Florida along with Tom Petty. One of my all-time favorite musicians.

Hey guys, yes, he is wearing a LSU jersey...I have the album cover...yes, that's right, real vinyl...first pressing...and yes, I'm old, but compared to the 60's & 70's music...the music today really sucks!

Dave Osbourne was number 41 for the team that come to NOLA for Super Bowl 4.

While attending LSU in the 70s, I went to a Stephen Stills concert at the Assembly Center. He and his band, Manassas opened the concert by tearing off their shirts to reveal all white LSU jerseys.
\Stills then stepped up to the mike and screamed
"LSU, I'm home." The place went wild. Great times
at LSU.

A couple of years ago CSN were on a TV concert. Crosby tells the audience that CSNY between them wrote 840 songs. Nash then cuts in and says,"and Neil Young wrote 700 of them" I laughed my arse off as did Crosby and Stills.
I am still waiting to see Neil Young and Crazy Horse again. They are my all time favorite band next to the Rolling Stones. I have been known to travel to California and Saskatchewan to see Neil Young. The man is simply incredible.

I always liked Steven Stills syle. The man could make some music.
I liked the collaborations with Crosby, Nash and Young. Still some of the best music every made.
I think its a Tiger shirt.

Looks like a Dave Osborn Jersey to me. The pic looks too old for it to be an Eric Martin jersey.

Actually he decided not to be a gator. Good for him.

Legend was that Jimi wanted SS for bass spot in his new band-JHEXPERIENCE!- and sent SS a message but B Springfield manager never gave it to him,Noel Redding got the gig; rest is history; Caught CSN in Biloxi this summer, SS blew me away on guitar;still great CSN sound.

Very first concert ever in The Assembly Center was Steven Stills and Manassas, including Dallas Taylor. Student tickets were, if I remember correctly, $3.00 (three dollars). I'm pretty surethis was 1972, shortly after it opened.
They did 2 sets, the first one was a lot of acoustic, he had to ask the crowd to be quiet because they couldn't hear his soft picking.
During the break he apparently got very stoned, because during the second set he was on piano doing a "call and response" thing with the drummer, stopped and said "Oh man, I lost my place in the music."

Here's the cover, from his first solo album. LSU Jersey!

Stills was born January 3, 1945, in Dallas, Texas. His family moved around quite a bit, staying mostly in the southern United States, with the exception of a brief sojourn to Central America. They stayed the longest in New Orleans, Louisiana. Stills displayed an interest in music throughout his childhood, and by the time he reached adolescence he had learned to play several instruments, including drums, guitar, and tambourine. He continued to practice both during his stints as a racetrack stable boy and while he attended the University of Florida studying political science. As with most good musicians, the lure of Stills' art overcame his academic will, and he left college.
Was at that concert too, although I don't remember it as well as a couple of you - was probably enjoying the atmosphere too much.
