There’s not much in the way of engineering in that area (you may want to take a look at civil servant positions at Sheppard Air Force base).

My parents retired about 50 miles north of Wichita Falls. The open roads and space were appealing to them after being in DFW for 20 years. Between disc golf, general exploring (my dad reads a lot of history), and road trips, they are rarely bored.

Weather in the area has been mentioned a couple of times. When it’s hot… it’s miserably hot. The wind, especially in the winter, is… something else.
