Talk about recency bias. LT was such a badass that players didn't want to score because they were afraid that would piss him off.

Zach Thomas was better than this dude, and his stats back it up.

It’s not really recency bias, he’s established himself as one the one the greatest defensive players of all time. I have no issue with him being number one on this list.

I don't know where he fits on the list but I feel like Polamalu at least deserves an HM

30 years would be 1992, meaning Rod Woodson and Deion Sanders both in their prime.

My List:

1. Aaron Donald
2. Reggie White
3. Darrelle Revis
4. Ed Reed
5. Brian Urlacher

I can't imagine any argument for Revis to be over either Charles or Rod Woodson, Deion Sanders or Ray Lewis.

Regis’ run with the Jets is the standard all CBs will be chasing. No one has been that good, and when you consider the era, even more impressive

Was about to say I don’t know if he is on the list, but the fact no one mentioning Troy tells me he is criminally underrated.

DPOY and finished top 5 in voting three times. An anchor on three different Super Bowl teams. Not sure I’ve ever seen a safety be able to lineup in the box and still contribute as much in pass coverage as he could.

IMO Derrick Brooks was the best player on those great Tampa defenses so I’ll throw his name out too.

I'm a big derrick brooks guy also.

Don't know if i can put him over lewis.

The problem is brooks was used in zone coverage more and lewis was able to blitz.

Ray lewis probably doubled brooks in sacks.

Dwight Freeny needs to be on the list.

You’re not a fan of Reggie White?
