My wife and I have never recognized Valentines Day like so may do. We feel singling out a day of obligation makes no sense when there is another 364 days each year to carry out the same non obligatory sentiment.
We just never bought into the science of Valentines Day.

It's a trap. Your wife plays the long game.

Get ready!

Godspeed.

She 100% expects something and is pissed every year you don’t get her anything. She’s just holding that hate in until you’re a veggie and she can put your arse in an old folks home

We just get eachother something small. Like I got a Reese's cup and I got him a cheese tray.

We also have birthdays right around Valentines so just tend to do a nice dinner out to celebrate it all.

Exactly. I don't care about valentines day. It is right in the middle of my husbands birthday and Mardi Gras. We take trips and spend disposable income on that and not gifts. We were supposed to be in Colorado this weekend but we have covid so have postponed it a few months.

Ugh, you got it again?

We used to do a trip every February as our "gift" but now that the kiddo and his BFF also have February birthdays every weekend this month is full. We also throw the neighborhood/LSU alum Mardi Gras party in February. So settle on just a nice dinner out.

Meh. Wife gets flowers and I cook dinner. Our bar is low for celebration. We do it big on our anniversary.

Valentine’s Day is great. Love and appreciating others is what life is all about. It’s fun.
