If you do a linear, one variable statistical regression using %AA as the independent variable ("X" axis) and violent crime as the dependent variable ("Y" axis) for a bunch of metro areas you get an R Squared of about 0.5. This suggests that the variance in AA demographic might explain about 50% of the variance in per-capital violent crime.

BTW: 86% of the jail population is black.

Looking at the west palm arrests in the last 24 hours, looks like 60% max... probably a little less than. 81 people is a good enough sample size for me

Detroit, Memphis, Baltimore, NOLA, BR & Shreveport are all in the top 14 nationally by demographic %. The only exception is WPB that sits about the same as Lafayette. Chicago 29%.

I think that's changed in the last 2-3 years. It's not a Marerro vs. Old Metairie thing anymore. It's everywhere.

Damn. Just damn. NO, BR, and Shreveport all in the top 10 for homicide rate 2021

A once great state is now a sh.thole. I took my first job out of grad school at Touro in N.O. in 1990. Stayed only 6 months because I saw the writing on the wall. Was recruited by Baptist Hospital in Knoxville and jumped at the chance to get out of N.O.

N.O. was dirty and full of crime. I had to get out.

While there I loved the people and the culture. Democrats ruined a once great city. Cajun girls were hot! Talked weird but who cares.

What demographic is LA higher in than the average state?

The statues coming down will make said demographic more docile, more apt to get jobs, seek education, and much less prone to commit crimes.

Alexandria actually had a higher rate than all 3 other louisiana cities mentioned but gets no love because it's < 100,000 population

Here's a list I put together last month

Chicago 2,746,388 - 836
30.8 per 100,000

East Baton Rouge 440,059 - 170
38.63 per 100,000

Detroit 639,111 - 309
48.35 per 100,000

Shreveport 187,823 - 90
48.12 per 100,000

New Orleans 383,997 - 218
56.91 per 100,000

Alexandria 45,275 - 34
75.5 per 100,000

BR has to be really bad when you consider that 440 is the whole parish yet I think the city is more like 220k with 148 murders.

Since I can't start threads, can someone start a thread a post this?

Youtube

It is a phone call into Howard Stern's show in 1997. Its a guy who says he is from New Orleans and claims to be a serial killer. He says he killed 12 prostitutes. He gives some details, but says the only suspect the police had was a policeman who had some connections with some of them.
