I’m probably in the minority, but I think you should spent this time on working with him personally, instead of putting him in organized sports. You can set fundamentals with him, and develop the base skills that will help excel by age 7 or so.

Exactly. What you think childhood is for? Allowing kids to be kids? Hell no!
