Yes, the socket is 220, and we thought we had the right bulb, and then tried a few others.
We could have put a heater in, but we had the light fixtures designed specifically for this purpose. It's a nice little water pump house, and usually held out, but a few years ago we had weather well below freezing for 72 hours straight. Rare occurrence, but it's tough to lose water for multiple days.
We'll just wait another day or so and buy the right ones, but they are hard to find.
