Matches Stopped for Medical Emergency in Crowd

Just happened again in the Spurs v Chelsea match, but play was stopped because of a medical situation in the crowd.
This may come off as harsh, but Leagues need to stop stopping play for medical events that happen in the crowd.
Assuming it's not a Hillsborough type of event, let the stadium's medical staff deal with it and carry on play. It's getting to be ridiculous.

If we save even one life we must shutdown the entire world, including businesses and all logistics systems.

I've always assumed it's because the medical personnel are assisting whoever is in distress, and they don't want something to happen on the field and not have them readily available on the pitch.
I can't remember which match it was, but it was recent and they mentioned they had to grab the defib for the fan that they had pitchside.

Does explosive diarrhea count as a medical emergency?

It's not something I can really remember happening before this season so not sure if there's been a rule change?
